Introduction to the Simulation Case: HRManagement is a competitive simulation that allows students to manage the HR department of a midsize company. Teams are given a yearly budget to distribute across various HR areas such as staffing, wages, benefits, and training programs.
Reports and Decisions: During the webinar, we demonstrated several reports and quarterly decisions students will handle, including staffing levels, wage adjustments, benefits management, and training budgets. Students learn to use reports to make decisions to maintain and improve the company’s performance.
Results and Weighted Score: We covered how students’ performance is evaluated using a weighted score system, measuring key HR metrics such as morale, unit labor costs, and quality index.
Assignments: Our assignments include a variety of HR topics such as goal setting, labor forecasting, employee motivation, compensation, and training ROI. These assignments enhance the learning experience by reinforcing key concepts covered in the simulation.
