The even-start scenario has teams starting from the same position, presents a number of market opportunities, and allows flexibility in the number of teams per industry.
The unique-start scenario consists of five firms, each with a unique identity, and provides the opportunity for more complex analysis at the start of the simulation.
3+3 scenario divides firms into three value-oriented high-volume producers and three high-end low-volume manufacturers (other team configurations are possible as well).

Which classes is this simulation suitable for?
StratSimManagement is used in classes for Strategic Management or Business Strategy, often at the graduate level but at times at the undergraduate level.
What is the ideal team size for the simulation?
For optimal collaboration and decision-making experience, we suggest forming teams of 3-4 students. Larger groups can struggle with decision-making, while teams of 2 may lack the diversity of opinion, fostering the healthy disagreement crucial for robust strategic planning.
How long does the simulation last?
The simulation spans a minimum of six periods and a maximum of ten periods, with each period representing a business year. Students should anticipate spending between two to two and a half hours per period for decision-making.
